The Burning Crusade Unpacked

January 16, 2007 - As many of you already know, World of Warcraft's long awaited expansion, The Burning Crusade, was unleashed yesterday. Along with many of the eight million strong worldwide community, we unpacked our own retail boxes today. The two SKUs available at retailers, a standard version and collector's edition, happen to differ quite a bit, both in content and size. Jewelcrafting The new profession in The Burning Crusade is called jewelcrafting. If you intend to level it up, you'll want to match it with mining, as jewelcrafting uses plenty of ore and stone. If you want to switch a high-level character with mining over to jewelcrafting, then you'll have to spend plenty of time searching low-level zones for copper and tin to use to skill yourself up, or buy it on the auction house.

Rogues in WoW: Past, Present and Future

Past:(in progress) During Beta we were unstoppable, then we were slowly nerfed over the course of a year. Then BGs came out and we quickly discovered that once out of stealth we were easily the fastest class to die to focus fire and our role was slipping behind the front lines to kill half health eaters/drinkers or drop a clothie. The nerfing stopped at our class review. Then Cloak of Shadows came out and suddenly we had a way to kill that priest or warlock and actually live afterwards by wiping dots. It also helped survivability in BGs and Raids. Which brings us to today...

Dave Chappelle loves World of Warcraft

Famed and elusive comic praises Blizzard's popular MMORPG at San Francisco nightclub appearance. After indefinitely abandoning work on his hit Chappelle's Show, comedian Dave Chappelle absconded to South Africa to escape the fallout. Since returning to the US, he has made several unannounced appearances at Los Angeles comedy clubs, and this week played two little-publicized shows at the Punchline in San Francisco.
